MDCC v TVT Interclub '10' and Social
Submitted by Anonymous on 6 July 2012 - 7:48pmTVT Takes The Win!
We were delighted to welcome Thames Valley Triathletes to our annual interclub '10' this Thursday. After a few adjustments each team fielded 16 riders on one of the few warm evenings we've had this year. Times were a little slower than expected possibly because of the close conditions.
A great ride to Box Hill
Submitted by Sarah Davies on 1 July 2012 - 7:22pmAt 8 am the sun was shining and 14 cyclists met up at Braywick this morning. There were some familiar faces, and a few new ones too as we attracted some potential new members to come for a ride. After a bit of faffing with a split tyre, we got away at about 8:20, and picked Lewis up at Virginia Water.

Box Hill Ride Sunday 1st July
Submitted by Sarah Davies on 23 June 2012 - 12:43pmHere are the details for next weeks ride...
I have tried to create the route based on the London Revolution route. I hope you will able to find it by going here
http://connect.garmin.com/course/1337310#.T-W4kQwnVxA.email
let me know if that doesnt work and I will try something else!
Please can we meet at BRAYWICK at 0800, with the aim to leave by 0815.
Having had a chat to Nigel last week, we thought it would be a good idea to use this ride as our long reliability ride (its approximately 125 km).
Robert gets a double!
Submitted by Anonymous on 22 June 2012 - 11:59amMDCC Junior Robert Tinn riding in the Hemel Hempsted '10' on Saturday on the fast North London course set a new pb and Club record for the junior 10 mile TT. He produced a superb 22-18 to break the 1973 record set by Bob Moore at 22-59 by 41 secs.
Robert followed this up on Wednesday, 20th June by winning the LWDC GHS heat at Hillingdon road circuit again with a 22 minute ride but on a slightly short course. He now goes on to represent the Club in the national final at Newbury in September. Brilliant rides Robert!

MDCC '10' Mile Championship TT Thursday 21st June. All Categories
Submitted by Anonymous on 17 June 2012 - 7:15pmOur Club '10' Mile TT Championship on the Thicket Course attracted fewer riders than usual as the rain always looked as though it could fall but 15 Club members rode and found unexpectedly that the conditions were quite conducive to fast times.
100km reliability ride 16th July 2012
Submitted by Sarah Davies on 17 June 2012 - 3:33pmA disappointing turn out for the 100km reliability ride this morning, with just myself Nigel and Andy - and the rest of you missed a treat! The weather was dry and bright - a tad windy but Nigel was a fantastic windbreak - and the route was lovely. With just the three of us we made good time through Twyford and Sonning and up to Cane End. The descent to Goring was absolutely lovely, and then a tailwind sped us to Benson and the cafe for a cup of tea and a chat. A bit of climbing took us back up to Pishill and then it was downhill all the way to Henley.
