The following history of our club was written by John Parfitt, Club Vice President and life member, who joined the club in 1960.

Author's Notes

Most of this history has been compiled from a study of the copies of the "Maidenhead Advertiser" held at the Maidenhead Public Library. It is not intended as a detailed account of the club and it's members but as a general and (very) personal distillation of what I found there and some contribution from my own experience of a cycling life dating from 1949.
