Road Racing 19th May

During the recently held Committee meeting, this above event was mentioned as one that we should help promote to all our 3rd & 4th Cat riders.

With this in mind please be aware that even though the date of this race is not until Mid May these 3rd & 4th Cat races are usually full well before their closing date.

To register for this event you will require at least a British Cycling Race Bronze membership, this is the lowest level of competitive membership.

24th March Bird Hills club ride - racing down Pishill

So what happened on the Bird Hills ride this week?  I have very little idea as for the 2nd week I was leading a Skyride in Richmond Park.  Does anyone want to post comments?

Clock Tower Ride - 24th Feb - Winter is back

I should have known it was too early to herald spring in last week's report as it was bitterly cold at 9:00 by the Clock Tower this morning.  The good news was that it was very dry despite the occassional snow flake fluttering down, meaning there was no ice around.  We were pleased to be joined today by a new rider James, so with regulars Gurpal, David, Rob and I that made it five of us braving the cold and poorly surfaced South Bucks roads this morning.

Early season open time trails Hilly 30 and 15tt

On the 10th March the Hilly 30tt came and went without problems (if a little cold) thanks to the good support from the Marshalls and other involved.  Thanks for the support.

The 15tt is still open for enteries at  https://evententry.ctt.org.uk/ until Tuesday 12th March.  I know the site has been down recently, so if you're had problems please let me know.  All being well the start sheet will be emailed on Sunday 17th March and in the post on Monday 18th.

Clock Tower Ride - 17th Feb - Spring is coming...

After last week's miserable conditions, this weekend saw many groups of cyclists enjoying the improved weather in the Chilterns.  Amongst them a group of 10 (me, Dan, Daniel, Mark, Mark, Gurpal, Rob, Ollie, Sam and Malcolm) set off from the Clock Tower this morning, although Malcolm having come to collect subs and hand out cards only came with us for the first part along the A4.  After a bit of a discussion of how much time we had spent cleaning our bikes during the past week and who now had the shiniest chain we decided to set out to climb Pishill which we rarely do as a grou

10th Feb - Bird Hills group and the 80km reliability ride

Two questions from today 80km reliability ride.  How many Tesco super stores are there in Bracknell and how many balls should be in a bottom bracket bearing?

Reliability Ride - 10th Feb 2013

At least we didn't get the snow and ice we feared earlier in the week, but otherwise the reliability ride kept up the tradition of being wet (very wet) with some bitingly cold winds.  So it was great to see a turnout of 13 riders at Braywick including a prospective new member Matt.
