Three things that every MDCC member should do

All MDCC members have a login to this website which gives them access to features over and above those available to non-members. Members are encouraged to contribute to this site and should at least give the following three things a go:

Pete Weir breaks 52 minutes for this year's pb for a '25'.

MDCC's Pete Weir finished 8th on Saturday in the Methyr CC's 25 on the fast South Wales course. His time of 51:59 just scraped inside 52 minutes. This is his fastest time this year and only 1 minute 24 secs outside his all time pb and current MDCC Club record  of 50:35 set on a faster  variant of the course last year.

Simon Takes The MDCC '30' mile TT Championships

A warm muggy afternoon yesterday saw only three MDCC riders competing for the Tony Deadman Trophy for the MDCC '30' mile TT Championship.
At the race HQ in Bentley, riders discussed whether to carry water bottles or not, lesser souls  took water bottles, some took two, the elite riders looked as if they were not carrying any. The first 7 miles out towards Alton was into a slight head wind, then after the turn at Chawton roundabout, good use was made of the slight tail wind to speed back  towards Farnham.

West London Combine "25"

Today saw five MDCC riders take on the West London 25 held on the CC114 close to Great Missenden.  The pre race health and safety report had spotted a cow enjoying the fresh grass on the verge of the A413 south of Great Missenden. Armed with this information we all set of to the start.

Thursday '10' Report and other News

On a clear evening with the wind dropping for later riders we had a good turnout of 44 riders for our Thursday evening '10' on the Thicket course. Pete Weir triumphed again with 21:22 which could have been quicker as he had to battle the early blowey conditions as first man off.  He also had some problems  at the National '10' on Sunday which lost him some time, breaking a spoke 2 miles from the finish and then mistaking the finish line and sitting up too early.
