Club Runs

*** Members wishing to join a Sunday ride must register by the previous Friday. ***

*** Guests are also welcome to 'come and try' riding with us 3 times before becoming a member, but must contact us by the previous Friday ***

We arrange weekly club rides on Sunday mornings departing at 8:30am.  The starting point is the car park in front of the Toby Carvery on Braywick Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1DX.  Time or location may alter occasionally if a special ride is arranged or due to weather conditions.  Changes will be announced on the website, by email and WhatsApp to members.  Our Club Run rules are listed on the Etiquette page http://maidenheadcc.org.uk/clubruns

Sunday ride groups

Sunday club rides are arranged to suit the wishes of members out on that day. A poll will be placed on the WhatsApp ‘MDCC Rides Group’ on the previous Wednesday so that members can indicate their preferences. This group can also be used for members to discuss rides on other days of the week or meet up for other organised events. The WhatsApp Rides Group can also be used to share the route before the ride.

Tuesday morning ride

The club also organises a regular Tuesday morning ride at Blue pace leaving Holyport at 9:30.  It is approximately 30 miles long with a coffee stop towards the end (usually at Il Cortile or the Honesty Cafe.  The poll to join the ride is posted on Monday mornings on the Rides Whatsapp group.

If you are looking for something shorter, take a look at Maidenhead Cycle Hubhttp://cyclehub.org.uk/organised-rides/ who run family rides of 6-8miles and social rides of 15-20 miles on Saturdays.

Gravel Rides

The monthly gravel rides are between 40 and 55 miles in length, with the majority of rides at the lower end of the scale. There is only one group per outing, and the aim is to complete the ride together. The gravel rides are social rides where the aim is to have fun and gain experience off-road that can transfer to tarmac. The rides are typically 60-70% off road, and we head towards the Chilterns. The routes are not technically difficult and can be ridden at a speed that is within a rider's comfort zone.

Ad-hoc gravel rides will be organised in addition to the monthly ride. For example, a gravel version of the roadie Isle of Wight trip, or organised day trips to areas around the South East.

Rides are co-ordinated via the MDCC Gravel group in WhatsApp.
