Breckland CC 12 hour. East Anglia

The Breckland CC 12 hour that Simon Greenland was taking part in on Sunday was abandoned after about 8 hours when a competitor was hit by a car on the A11. He was airlifted to hospital and we are still awaiting official confirmation of his injuries.

Looks like Simon Greenland takes the 100tt championship

At some unearthly hour on Sunday morning(3-4am) Simon Greenland and Gurpal individually left the Maidenhead area heading south to take part in the SCCU 100tt.  The scheduled start time was some time after 6am, obviously too early for other club members to enter.

Timberlake Tankard '10' Thursday, July 22nd.

Les Gets A Well Deserved Win

Les Gardner after riding every Thursday evening event this year got the result he deserved last night by producing another season pb and taking the Timberlake Tankard with a handicap time of 19:57. Jon Crompton who has only been an MDCC member for a few months but with great enthusiasm improved again last night to record his first sub-24 minute ride of 23:47. He came second to Les with a h'cap time of 20:09 to take the silver medal position. We were pleased to see Jorj James come in in the bronze medal position with 20:17, 23:57 actual. I note that Jorj attributes his speed to his pointy head!

MDCC '100' Championship

SCCU '100', Sussex. Sunday, 25th July

Simon Geenland and Gurpal Panesar are the only two MDCC riders entered in the Southern Counties Cycling Union '100' mile TT on Sunday in Sussex. We wish them both the best of luck. This could be the event that clinches the Club '100' Championship. Remember any '100' is eligible for the Champs this year as our original event, Hounslow & Dist Whs '100',  was cancelled.

MDCC v TVT Interclub '10', Thursday 15th July

MDCC v TVT Interclub '10',  Thursday 15th July

On a grey, blustery evening two incomparable teams gathered to contest  their  first annual interclub '10' mile time trial.  Nineteen  riders chosen from the cream of each club,  guests TVT and  hosts MDCC were ready for this great contest. Indeed it seemed unfair that there should be winners and losers in this tussle and so the teams fought for a winners and runners up plaque.
