MDCC Club '10' and '25' Team Records Ratified

Club '25' Team Record Broken Twice in One Event

The Committee is pleased to confirm the highly unusual breaking of the MDCC team '25' record twice in the Farnborough and Camberley '25' [Saturday, 16th April] in very good conditions on the Bentley course.

The first team to finish consisting of Andrew Payne, Sam Hilton and Tim Seddon recorded 2:57:35 and therefore broke the record but only held it for a short time until Simon finished to complete the fastest team, Pete Weir, Simon Greenland and Jorj James recording  2:49:14.

The old Club record dating back to 1974 was 3:01:12 set by Bob Moore and the Sheriff brothers, Malcom and Bob.

Very well done to both teams. If anyone wishes an explanation of how records are calculated in this situation please see Peter,  Club Archivist and Trophies and Records Meister.

Club '10' Team Record Broken

The H10/22 '10' course, Marlow bypass revealed it's speed potential  when in ideal conditions MDCC's team of

Pete Weir [20:09], Sam Hilton [22:27] and Danuta Tinn [22:39] broke the Club's '10' team record by 1minute 1 second. The old record stood at 1:06:36 set in 2008 set by Pete, Chris Heape and Joe Francis.

The record now stands at 1:05:35. Well done to all three of them. I think this must be the first time that we have had a mixed team breaking the record, so an excellent ride from Danuta.
