MDCC Easter Round-Up. Part 2

High Wycombe CC Good Friday '10'. H10/22

The H10/22 '10' course, Marlow bypass revealed it's speed potential on Friday when in ideal conditions MDCC's team of Pete Weir, Sam Hilton and Danuta Tinn broke the Club's '10' team record by 1minute 1 second. The old record stood at 1:06:36 set in 2008 set by Pete, Chris Heape and Joe Francis.

Pete led the way finishing in 6th place with 20:09, just 30 seconds outside his own '10' record set last year with the unstoppable Chris Ball winning in 19:12.

I'm sure Pete could have been even faster as he was delayed on the Bisham roundabout, not to mention standing on Thursday evening helping Peter with the timekeeping and spending Thursday filling and carrying 25kg sacks of gravel!

What a fantastic year Sam Hilton has had so far. He improves with every ride and took his pb down to 22:27 to be second counter in the team. Sam tells me it was good all the way round and he followed Simon's advice to blast up the hill from the Bisham roundabout!

Danuta came in with a terrific 22:39 to complete the team. It was great to see her produce this ride on her home patch and it looks as though it could be a good year for her.

The record now stands at 1:05:35. Well done to all three of them.
