MDCC Easter Round-Up. Part 1
Club '10' Fifield Thursday 21st April
Our first '10' of the season on the Fifield course saw a strong field take part on a warm and fast evening. Neil Cooper of AW Cycles was fastest rider with 22:36 although his team mate Nick English denied a late start rode the course un-numbered in a mid '21'.
MDCC's Chris Taylor already looking fit after a training camp in Tuscany came in third with 23:07 just behind TVT's Sharkie Jaggard on 22:43. We were very pleased to see Paul Redman [ Thames Velo /MDCC 2nd claim] who has helped at several of our events take 4th with a pb for the course of 23:29.
Also of special note was Simeon Pollard's ride of 24:15. Simeon, from a rugby background, only joined last year and hasn't ridden a large number of events but if his rides continue like this he could be in line for the Club Novice Award. MDCC's Mark Dewey is also moving well coming home in 24:50. Is this going to be a big year for Mark?
NB Mark's, Gurpal's and Ken's time are still being checked as their times were slightly out. There should be some seconds to come off their rides when I've sorted it out. (Peter).
It was also good to see Anna Long break evens with a time of 29:15 in just her second appearance in our Thursday evening '10's.
