MDCC Ladies Championship '25'. Kate takes another win. FULL RESULTS

On a beautiful afternoon on the testing Shurlock Row '25' course Kate Hunt produced another excellent ride this afternoon  to take 'The Punch Bowl'  trophy for the  Ladies  '25' Champion.  Kate rode an impressive race looking determined from the start to win the trophy.

Her lap times were consistently round the thirteen and a half minute mark  leaving her to finish in 1:8:54. In second place was last years champion Linda Regel, who still recovering from a bug rode a steady race in the heat to record 1:25:43 and take the silver medal. Well done to both of them.

In the mens' event Pete Weir after his record breaking '10' yesterday produced a course record of 58:48 even though he said his legs were complaining after yesterday's ride to finish first.   Paul Redman {Thames Velo, MDCC 2nd claim}  was second in his first ever '25' with an excellent 1:2:26 on this essentially roadmans' course.  Jon Crompton also riding his first '25' although producing variable lap times finished in a very creditable  1:5:15.  Unluckiest rider must be Sam Hilton who while waiting to sign on heard his rear tyre explode in the heat. After his pb on Thursday he was disappointed to miss the event.

The Junior and Juvenile Championship will be held over to the September Mens' Champs  '25' as all our Juniors and Juveniles had prior commitments and couldn't ride.
