Clock tower ride 12th May

Dave and I cycled 300km around London in the cold and wet doing the London Revolution Ultra yesterday, so we were not out this morning.

So, instead of me waffling on as normal, we have a guest author this week! Over to Hewan...

Seven set off from the clock tower with a plan to head towards Old Windsor and Windsor Great Park. A split occurred at the Straight Road/Toby Carvery junction resulting in some riders going up Crimp Hill and others riding up Priest Hill. Not a problem as The WhatsApp chat group ensured we were all brought back together at Bishopsgate. Rob, John, Miriam and Deane decided to push on for a faster longer ride leaving Chris, Gurpal & Hewan to head off to Virginia Water and a loop back to the Park for a coffee stop where we met up with Mark R, Fiona R and a few of their cycling friends at the Fox & Hounds. A larger group than entered the Park, left and headed back down Crimp Hill and into Windsor. We said our goodbyes at Eton and the three of us from the Clock Tower ride pushed on for home. A shorter steadier ride than usual but the company, scenery and good weather made for an enjoyable 30 miles at 15+mph.

Back to normal next week - I will see you there!
