A number of crashes led to a few hold-ups and diversions which have obviously affected some of the times above.  As this is not the first time that this has happended it seems that the organisers really need to look at lowering the numbers of riders or spreading the start times out more.

Congratulations to Matt Raynor whose time of 4h 6m makes him the new club record holder for this event beating Rob Attreed's 4h 9m from last year.  Sarah Davies lowers the ladies course record by 16 minutes from her time last year.

Sarah and I were very fortunate that an early 6:32 start meant we had a relatively trouble-free ride and were thrilled to achieve our target of sub 5 hours.  (As my wife commented when I got back - I'm glad you took the Team Sky approach of staying near the front of the peloton to keep out of trrouble!).  What was everyone else's experience?
