And a quick clock tower one too...

And a quick write up of he Clock tower...which was also fairly brisk!

8 of us today - Dave Booth and I in club tops, everyone else was either new or fairly new and Jane brought her Dad along for a fathers day 'treat' (he was down from Manchester and a very strong rider)

We did the reliability route - as I wasn't sure about everyones level of riding so wanted to keep it fairly flat, and one of the guys needed to get back and lived in Bracknell. I needn't have worried - there were some strong riders out there today.

My legs are a bit shot after last weekend and running yesterday, so I wasn't on great form - so once we had dropped one off in Bracknell, gone through Ascot and were in Windsor, 3 people fancied going a bit further through the Park. I had had enough by now and took Dave, Jane and her Dad back to Maidenhead. I think the 3 who went off for a longer ride may have upped their average speed somewhat - even though by the time I got home I had done 55 miles with an average of 17.4 - which is on the fast side for us.

Next week Box Hill - I will try to order similar weather to today (although with a bit less wind perhaps!)
