Maidenhead Cycling and Athletic Club Summer Programme for 1955

We have in the archive a selection of Maidenhead programmes from the 50's through to the 70's and I thought it might interest members to see what the Club had planned for the season 60 years ago. 

From the nineteenth century onwards the majority of cycling clubs published for its members a handbook or programme giving members details of club rules, events and championships, members names and addresses and details of club runs. In the post war period as time went on fewer clubs produced these and they were often in a shortened form and now the club website has I suppose largely superseded these useful little booklets

I hope members find this of interest if only in seeing how much has changed and how much has stayed the same. I think that there was a  varied and interesting selection of events provided for members over the year.
