2014 Thursday 10 Handicap Standings
It's almost the end of the season so I thought that I'd better publish the Thursday 10 handicap standings.
With five events to go it's all to play for this season with Bernard Phillips taking a well deserved lead (58 points). Having started the season trying to break 'evens' (30 minutes) , he managed to do that in style, putting in a 27:48 on the A4. In second place is Time Trial Secretary, Stuart Auckland (52 points), having gone under 22 minutes on no less than six occasions this season.
In with a good chance of overtaking both of them are two riders, John Bush and Jorj James who are both on 47 points. After a steady start to tyhe season, John is now consistently in the 28's and has target times for the remaining rides (the blue times in the table) that he should easily beat. Despite winning last year's handicap, and suffering from some low target times as a result, Jorj has really raised his game in the second half of the season and could well win the handicap for the second season running.
Also in with a chance in fourth place is club Chairman, Andrew Payne with 40 points and target times in the 25 minute region for the remaining events. He should be able to beat those target times easily with his new P5 speed machine.
