2012 Novice Plaque Champion
The winner of this years Novice Plaque Award is Stuart Auckland with a stunning average speed of 26.09 mph for his fastest 25 mile and 10 mile TT's. This was achieved with a 22:35 for a '10' and a 58:35 for a '25'. Well done Stuart.
Stuart has also joined the committee at the AGM and is now the club TT secretary.
A Very Cool Looking Stuart Earlier in the Year
In second place was Heather Mackay with equally stunning times of 23:39 for her fastest '10' and only riding one '25' she produced an excellent 1:0:42. This gave her an average speed of 25.04 mph. Next year Heather intends going for the Ladies Audax Championship for which the Club wishes her well.
Both Stuart's and Heather's times must be a mens and ladies club record for the Novice Award.
The bronze medal goes to Andy Waters with 24.22 mph. In any other year I'm sure this would have got Andy the gold. He rode a fast '10' in 23:43 and a '25' in 1:0:42.
Well done to all six riders who qualified for the Novice Plaque, fourth was Colin Grant-Riach in 24.00 mph, fifth was Brett Ansley in 22.32 mph and sixth was David Dyer in 21.94 mph.
