The club receives many notifications of sportive, charity and other rides.  When received they are listed here:

 

"La Grande Aventure" from Pace in Aylesbury to Belgium 11-15 September

Pace is a children’s charity that transforms the lives of children and young people with motor disorders such as cerebral palsy.  An ideal cycle for novice to intermediate riders, this 4-day adventure starts from Pace in Aylesbury, travels across England, France and into Belgium finishing in the beautiful town of Ypres where riders will see the Menin Gate, one of the Memorials to the Missing, where every evening the Last Post is played by buglars which is a very moving experience.  Sign-up fee £350 (includes - 4 night’s accommodation; breakfast and lunch; dinner on the first night, transport and cycle jersey)  Fundraising target £750 - (£200 of fundraising target to be received 8 weeks prior to event)  For more information, please contact Kelly on 01296 616973 or email kelly.houghton@thepacecentre.org.

 

Maidenhead Rotary Bikeathon - Sun 7th July

This year will include the choice of two routes, a 15 mile leisurely route and a 31.5 mile more challenging route, you choose which one you would like to complete!  Avoid the queues and register in advance online.  The Bikeathon starts and finishes at Maidenhead Office park, Westacott Way, Littlewick Green, Maidenhead SL6 3QQ and is accessed from the A4.  ​There is ample car parking at the office park for participants and spectators. The aim of the Bikeathon is for participants to have a great ride - This is  NOT A RACE  and cyclists follow a scenic course of 15 miles or a longer one of 31.5 miles through the beautiful Berkshire countryside. The route has been planned with Safety and Interest in mind and is well signposted.  Register at http://maidenheadbikeathon.org/

Come along to this specialist Yoga workshop for Triathletes, Runners and Cyclists. The perfect way to wind down after a weekend of racing or training and go into the week rejuvenated.Understand how to incorporate yoga into your current training regime, stay injury-free and maximise your recovery. We’ll cover some basic poses, stretchy flows and then a long relaxation. Take away TWO FREE 20-minute YouTube videos to use in your own home – ‘Yoga for Runners’ and ‘Yoga for Cyclists’.Alice Hector Professional Triathlete after a session “Tight back before, all better after”. No previous experience is necessary. All you need is some stretchy clothes and an open mind. Biography: Louise is a top level age group triathlete, multiple national champion and international medallist.  Louise understands the demands of our sport and her classes focus on movements that our bodies need the most. She will help you incorporate a time-efficient, beneficial yoga routine into your busy training schedule and life. Louise has helped students of all levels improve their flexibility, physical performance and well-being.
