What content can I add to this website?

As a club member once you log into the website there are a number of ways you can add content to the site :

  • In the Main Menu under The Club->Club Members if you click on your name you can edit your profile, upload a picture of yourself and add as much or as little information about yourself as you wish. The information you add is only visible to other club members.
  • You can add a new comment or reply to an existing comment on any news item using the link(s) below the item.
  • You can list an item for sale, adding a picture and description of the item using the Items For Sale quick link at the top of the page. Alternatively, use the Create content link in the member's menu (on the left, below the main menu, with your name at the top of it)
  • You can start a new topic or reply to an exisiting topic in the discussion forum using the Forum quick link at the top of the page. Alternatively, use the Create content link in the member's menu (on the left, below the main menu, with your name at the top of it)

If you wish to contribute other articles to the website, contact Paul Richardson, who can easily set you up with permission to do so.

How can I keep track of the content that I have added?

Click on the My account link in the member's menu (on the left, below the main menu, with your name at the top of it) and then on the Track tab at the top of the page.

I love/hate the new website. How can I give feedback?

There is a forum set up called The Website where you can post your feedback and any ideas and requests that you have for enhancements to it. Non-members can email websitefeedback@maidenheadcc.org.uk with their feedback.

How do I list an item for sale?

Once you are logged into the site you will see a menu item in the members menu (the one in the left panel with your name as a title) called Create content. Click on this and on the Item For Sale link on the page that comes up. Alternatively click the Add an item for sale link that appears at the top of the Items For Sale page. Fill in the form that you are presented with, adding a short title describing the item for sale in the Title box, and a more detailed description in the Description box, including your contact details. You can upload a photo of the item by clicking the Browse button, choosing your image, and then clicking the Upload button. Please note that very large images (greater than about 4000x2500 pixels) will not upload properly so you may need to scale them down first.

Once you click the Save button at the bottom of the form your item will appear in the For Sale section. You can see a list of all the items you have posted by clicking on the My Account menu item in the members menu and selecting the Track tab at the top of the page. At any time you can edit the item by selecting the item from this list and once the item has sold it can be deleted by editing the item and clicking on the Delete button at the bottom of the edit form.
